The Tripod-Fix vertebral agumentation system is an implant designed to be expanded in the vertebral body to mechanically restore its anatomical height.

This device is particularly effective for the treatment of wedge compression fractures.

The system consists of an implantable expansion stent and associated surgical instruments. The stent is inserted into the collapsed vertebral body, by following transpedicular approach and expanded mechanically to restore the anatomical height. Three-dimension expansion mechanism provides therefore, a tridimensional and solid support of vertebral height restoration.

The device is retractable, which is a specifically designed feature to provide even more safety for patients, in case the implant repositioning is required during the surgery.

The procedure ends with the injection of HV cement.
